CLEANSING
- In korean skin care, Cleansing is the most crutial. Why?
because it is truly important to remove any dirt ,sebum and residue of make-up on your face specially at night before layering on your skin care products. This prevents any
further pimple problems also your pores will unclogged & breathe.

Cleansing is taken to a whole new level in Korean skin
care. They call it...
DOUBLE CLEANSING
-Compose of 2 type cleansing product, Oil/Balm cleanser, second is your usual Facial wash.
•Oil/Balm cleanser•
- it is good for removing make-up rather than using chemically strong make-up remover. Oil cleansers melts and lift your make-up easily because commonly, cosmetics are oil-based.
What's good with this oil/balm cleanser, it emulsify when mix with water which means it turns into white liquid and oily feel diminish. So, you don't have to worry if you have an Oily skin.
How to use: Scoop rightful amount, apply on face and rub in
circular motion. Rinse with lukewarm water.

•Facial wash•
- it removes remaining residues from first cleansing step. Much better if its a deep cleanser.

TONER
-this step prepare your skin for a better absorption of the rest of your remaining skin care products. Also it removes deep sitted dirt and claims to even your skin tone.
FACT: Based on my experience, Korean brand toners
are more mild & some almost have 0% alcohol compared to

drugstore brands available here in the Philippines or other western brands
but it still does the job.

step-3
CELL ESSENCE / SKIN
-this is a watery type of product that claims to give more elasticity to skin, smooths and prevents aging. It works deep inside the skin. This type of product doesn't give instant results, effect will be noticed after long term of use.
How to use: Take a cotton pad, dispense enough amount to cover the whole face. Swipe on face from inner to outer portion. Some prefer to just pour the product on the palm of their hand, and press onto face. Tap the remaining product until absorbs.

SERUM/ EMULSION / LOTION / AMPOULE
- This step addresses specific skin need. There are many variations available on the market. Such as brightening , pore-tightening, anti-aging and balancing(for combination skin type)
This three types of products usually have same results, you can use just one of the three with specific variation of your skin needs. But some Korean loves layering all this products for a more intense skin care routine.
How to use: Spread on your face and tap onto skin for
better absorption.
(Serum has small molecules that allows it to penetrate more deeply on skin. It's consistency is between essence and cream.

Emulsion ~
(A lighter version of a moisturizing cream, it is a liquid just like serum consistency. Emulsions is also called as Lotion, is known for moisturizing skin with a lighter feel. Preferred for those in humid area or country.)
Ampoule~
(Comes in droppers. It is almost a concentrate that targets different skin issues. Texture is the same as Emulsions)

MOISTURIZER
- Use creams as a final step of your skin care routine because it seals-in the previous products you applied. Just like a usual moisturizer in any skin care routine. Except that they have variations, from cream to different gelish type of moisturizers
Gel ~

SUNBLOCK
-Koreans never miss putting on sunblock, this helps to maintain their skin well-being also , it protects their skin from harmful rays of the sun. Specially, if you are currently using exfoliating products. Your skin needs more protection than usual.
How to use: Spread onto face before applying make-up. Or if

KOREAN BEAUTY TIPS:
1.) Apply skin care product in the order of WATERY TO
THICKER CONSISTENCY. This is the key to korean beauty
because a more thicker product seals in the watery ones so
that skin absorbs it more and prevents it to evaporate.
2.)Remember to allot few minutes between each step to
make sure that you are NOT just mixing up all products in each step,
make sure that each product is well absorbs by your skin.
3.) If you are using exfoliating products make sure to use
sunblock. Exfoliating your skin can make it prone to have dark spots when expose to sunlight.
4.)Koreans normally use sheet mask at least once a week.
5.)Most important is monitoring the food you eat. Skin is the
reflection of one's well-being :)
